Once this switch is set, you don’t need to worry about overloading the amplifier. This means they have a switch (normally on the back panel – but sometimes inside) which allows you to tell it you are connecting 2, 4 or 8 pairs of speakers to the one amplifier. Some volume control units also have impedance matching. You can also download the user’s manual for most models – before you buy it. If you are interested in using a speaker selector switch, check out my summary article on speaker selector switches – it discusses the features and uses in more detail, and summarises all the units bought from Amazon through this web site. This is logical as the signal is being shared by more than just the one speaker. To see how the power is distributed by the different types of speaker selector switches, see my Speaker Selector Switch Simulator. matching impedance transformers – this is the best, but it is also the most expensive.Īll these methods allow multiple speakers, but at a lower volume than using just one speaker. This is similar to the series-parallel wiring above, but it all happens in the box for you. combining the different speakers in series and/or parallel to keep the overall impedance above 4 ohms.If this switch is not selected, you have no protection when running all the speakers together. Then mid-distance footage shows more workers shaking hands and chatting. They’re all wearing the same red uniform and white hard-hats, standing on the oil rig and waving at the camera. We see a distant shot of a large group of Shell workers. The next is of Sharief being presented with a certificate, and then a third shows him wearing his red Shell uniform on the rig again. The first is of Sharief’s graduation, where he poses for his photograph with his family wearing a black gown and hat. My passion stems from coming to the realisation that energy and environment are two of the biggest things that we have to get right if we plan to move forward in a sustainable manner. Then we’re taken back to the head and shoulders shot of Sharief’s interview. In the background is the London Eye, several large tower blocks and a red double-decker bus. While it states on the website that any download can be split into multiple downloads (up to 20 with pro) this feature is NOT offered for torrents. So if you are downloading a file you may find after leaving your computer for a while that the app is not running when you come back. There is no option to remotely control torrents through a cell phone or other devise (this is a feature many free torrent apps provide). Improved User-Guided Extraction the UGE window now has history, allows saving favorites and much more. User-friendly video downloader, supports drag and drop operation SW2's story is much sillier, and Kamiko, the "voice in your head", WILL annoy you far more than Hoji from SW 2013. You can drop the difficulty, switch your loadout to a set of weapons you may not have tried before (and there's over 70 of them so you have plenty to try out) and just kill shit to blow off steam. It's also the perfect game to just drop into after a long hard day of work. If you're a quester, then this game is the one you want. Then of course there are the free DLC bounties you can do for more stuff. You're free to go back to certain areas and just farm enemies, upgrading your weapons and skills until you're ready to close that part of the map off permanently and move on to the next area. This along with the introduced verticality allows Lo Wang to literally FLY across the areas and reach brand new heights he could never reach in the 2013 game.ĭunno if you're like me, but the reason I love RPGs so much is just feeling of taking on quests, completing them and checking them off my list, and SW2 satiates that thirst better than SW 2013. While SW2 isn't a completely open world title, it does open the layout up a bit, offering the player multiple ways to traverse a level. So much about those titles finds its way into SW2 it's insane and that's not ALWAYS a bad thing. I've said it multiple times.Shadow Warrior 2 is merely a love letter to Diablo III and Borderlands II. Also, each enemy encounter institutes a 5-star rating system which encourages the player to mix things up and use as many weapons as possible. SW 2013's weapons loadout is limited which I honestly prefer, but some might find the lack of variety to be boring, but you can upgrade the weapons as well. Skills are done using a three-button command as opposed the one button command in SW2. That said, SW 2013 lacks verticality and is devoid of other QOL features such as lack of fall damage and infinite dashing. The upgrade system is simple and straight forward and your goal is to eventually unlock everything until all you're really spending the money you find on is ammo. No minimaps, no complicated skill tree, no open world. Enter an area, kill anything that moves, find your way to the next part of the area, kill more stuff, get to the boss, kill the boss, next level and repeat. It is very akin to games like Serious Sam, Duke Nukem, etc. Most people will agree that the 2013 installment is a linear experience that is straight forward, challenging, and slightly less campy than its successor. They're both very affordable, they're both fun as hell, and they both scratch different gaming itches. My first knee jerk reaction is to tell you to just buy both. I also recently got Ghostrunner which I like a lot, too, albeit it's a little too linear for me. Note that I haven't played a Doom-like game yet, believe it or not, but I have been a huge fan of Earth Defense Force (EDF) for years, and I've played COD Zombies (which I'd like if it were more outlandish and not wave-based). I'm also an irreverent, nihilistic cynic, so the more vulgar, politically incorrect, and dirty the game, the better :) I'm just looking for a game to relax with that will last a long time during which I can fuck around and kill shit. If I'm not mistaken, SW1 is more linear and straightforward, whereas the second is more open-ended and grindy? The community seems polarized on which they prefer. I would like to get some other games during this, like Darksiders III, as well, so I'm only interested in getting one of these. Right now, due to GOG's summer sale, I can get Shadow Warrior for €6 or Shadow Warrior 2 for €7.50 (or the deluxe edition for €9.50). I already downloaded the original from 1997, and while it's fun, it's hard to get into for me due to its clunky controls and just outdatedness. For now, I'd like to play previous installments. It looks awesome! Definitely going to purchase that when it comes out. The Logs will be stored in the Resources folder (as set in the general settings). If you enable logging on your worker you can select which incidents you want logged and how long to keep the logs. The log files keep track of Network Rendering state, information, and potential errors. In cases where you do not want the users to be able to easily limit/pause the cores you can disabled this. You can find it in the Task menu on Windows and the menu bar on Mac.
Synchronous messages require a reply from the receiving lifeline in order for interaction to continue and are represented by a solid line with a solid arrowhead. The type of arrow depends on the type of message: Messages are communication between objects and are represented with arrows. Lifelines are vertical lines used to represent objects that send and receive interactions throughout the sequence. A single sequence diagram can describe just one scenario or multiple scenarios. ScenariosĪ scenario is the systematic execution of one specific path. It’s usually helpful to define use cases before creating a sequence diagram, as this will provide necessary context for the diagram’s structure. Use cases in UML are specifications of a sequence of events performed by a system, including its variants. Here are a few of the terms and symbols you will need to know before creating a sequence diagram. Back to top Common Sequence Diagram Symbols and Notation However, they can be created any time as a way to document existing systems.Īlthough sequence diagrams are very technical, they still provide a slightly higher-level view than code itself, so they can also be used to communicate system requirements to business executives and other non-technical stakeholders. Architects and developers use them to visualize how the system should behave and provide a helpful framework to use throughout the design process. Sequence diagrams are often created and used during a future system’s planning phase. They represent the details of a UML use case and the logic behind how objects and components interact with each other throughout a process. Equal parts gaming router and one for general use at home, the RT-AX86U not only brings Multi-Gig inputs and port aggregation to the gaming party but it’s ability to boost phone and tablet games is a big plus. It may not check all the boxes for getting the best gaming router but the Asus RT-AX86U is a top performer that gets close to the magical 1Gbps mark. At any time, you can chat with a technician about a problem. There's software for iPhones and iPads as well as Android tablets and phones.Īsus provides lots of DIY support with drivers and downloads as well as an extensive FAQ section. When installing the RT-AX86U router, you have the choice of using Asus’s Web browser interface or its Asus Router phone and tablet apps. That’s a bit more than the XR1000’s $7 a year but close to the Archer AX6000’s $11.30 per year. All told, it should cost roughly $11.60 a year to operate if you pay the national average of 13 cents per kilowatt hour of electricity. When the router was moving data back and forth, it used 10.3-watts of power, about 50-percent more than the Nighthawk XR1000. There were no video glitches or audio errors. As I watched videos on an HP EliteBook Dragonfly and listened to an Internet radio station on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+, my iPad Pro was showing a baseball game and my Dell XPS 15 was moving data onto and off a file server. Over my week of using the RT-AX86U every day for everything from email and manual downloads to video viewing and gaming, it was reliable and passed the saturation test. This can’t compare to the Netgear RAX80’s 1.07Gbps and the TP-Link AX6000’s 744.7Mbps for the wall penetration test but roughly matches the Netgear XR1000’s 614.8Mbps. The RT-AX86U did well at punching a strong Wi-Fi signal through walls and ceilings, with scores of 698.5Mbps available through a wall 25-feet from the router and 615.7Mbps to a floor above. The RT-AX86U had a range of 95-feet, 10-feet short of the XR1000. That said, the TP-Link AX6000 couldn’t even maintain a connection at that distance, while the Netgear RAX80 moved 20.8Mbps and the Netgear XR1000 led the way with 75.0Mbps of bandwidth available. At this distance, the TP-Link AX6000 and Netgear Nighthawk RAX80 were well behind with throughputs of 125.4 and 142.1Mbps, respectively.Īt our terminal distance of 90-feet, the RT-AX86U was near its limit, with an average of only 7.4Mbps, barely enough for watching an HD stream. It was behind the TP-Link AX6000’s 396.7Mbps and the Linksys MR9600’s 363.3Mbps.Īt 75-feet, the RT-AX86U regained its strength, pushing out 250.1Mbps, compared to the 280.1Mbps that the XR1000 achieved. That said, the bandwidth available at 50-feet dropped to 285.3Mbps, which was just a hair ahead of the Netgear RAX80’s 271.3Mbps. That can’t compare to the Netgear Nighthawk RAX80’s 1.39Gbps maximum output, but it’s 4 percent ahead of the TP-Link AX6000 (888.2Mbps), 7 percent ahead of the Netgear Nighthawk XR1000 (859.1Mbps) and 12 percent faster than Linksys MR9600 (822.0Mbps). At 15-feet, it had a peak throughput of 929.7Mbps. Asus RT-AX86U: Performanceīased on a week of testing using Ixia’s ixChariot’s network simulation benchmark in my 100-year old 3,500-square-foot home, the Asus RT-AX86U was equal parts reliable router and gaming companion. By contrast, the Bitdefender software that Netgear includes in its Armor security offering costs $70 a year for security updates. The best part is that it includes lifetime updates to counter new threats. Called AIProtection Pro, there’s nothing to load onto your devices, because the software works in the router, behind the scenes. It’s a secure router with built-in code from Trend Micro that not only can stop intrusions but block malware from attacking your network. It can be quite a light show at night, but the router has a button for turning off the lights. There are activity indicators for each of the Ethernet ports and whether its WPS system has been engaged. Up front, the RT-AX86U has 10 white LEDs that show it’s turned on, connected to the Internet and is transmitting on the 2.4- and 5GHz bands. The RT-AX86U has switches for turning the router on or off as well as one on the side is for using the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) protocol to quickly add a device to the network. There’s also a pair of USB 3 ports for adding up to two external hard drives to the network. For speedsters, two of the network ports can be aggregated for top-speed output. That’s potentially a total of five downstream ports, one more than most provide, but three less than TP-Link’s Archer AX6000’s eight LAN ports. To that it adds four dedicated gigabit per second downstream Ethernet ports along with an extra LAN port if the Multi-Gig connection if it’s not being used. Along the back are a 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) and a 2.5Gbps Multi-Gig WAN input port for working with the latest broadband modems. |
